in Egypt at a young age, Joseph worked as a slave to Potiphar. God showed him
favor and Potiphar put him in charge of everything he owned. But Potiphar’s wife
had an evil plan; she tried to seduce him but seeing that Joseph wouldn’t give
in, she eventually designed a plot against him that landed him in prison. This
could be so tormenting for Joseph knowing that the allegations against him were
lies. Prison life was not easy for him either, but God made the prison wader
favor him and put him in charge of everything in the prison.
God
made Pharaoh Servants to dream so that Joseph’s gift could be manifested and used
to interpret the dreams and later on for them to introduce him to Pharaoh. But
after leaving prison they soon forgot all about Joseph. Joseph never lost his
faith in God he kept being faithful even in prison. Then one night God gave Pharaoh
a dream that bothered him. He called all the magicians and wise men in Egypt to
interpret it but they couldn’t. God revealed the interpretation to Joseph and this
got him out of prison. Because of this he was promoted to be a governor in Egypt
and second in command after Pharaoh. Pharaoh gave him his signet ring and dressed
him in official vestments of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.
