When you walk with Him…

It’s amazing how we as human beings leaving in such an era think that the miraculous is for the chosen few. This is just but a misconception. The miraculous is for those that walk closely with him. That is our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. The three disciples, Peter John and James knew this clearly well. They were always seen around Jesus. No wonder John could be easily noticed when he followed Jesus after he was arrested.

Only this three were able to experience the Transfiguration of Jesus on the mountain. His face shone with the glory of God. His clothes were filled with light. They also saw the great prophets Moses and Elijah conversing with Jesus. And suddenly they heard a voice from heaven say, “This is my Son, my Beloved in whom am delighted, listen to Him!” . They were able to experience the Glory of God!

The three walking closely with Jesus also learnt how to pray they saw him rise up early and saw how he prayed fervently and had a close relationship with the Father. Isn’t it amazing how they translated this into their ministry? They always walked in the miraculous and John got astounding revelations of the end times.

Moses performed great miracles because he walked closely with God. He spoke to Him face to face. Not forgetting to mention Enoch who walked closely with God for 300 years constantly fellowshipping with him until he was no more. He never died a natural death because God just took him. He operated in a higher dimension Elijah also operated in a higher dimension of the miraculous as a result of walking closely with God.

Brethrens, it is possible for us also to live in this dimension if we chose to walk closely with God. We will experience the Supernatural!

What Legacy do you leave behind?

We are leaving in a generation where everyone is self centered. It is all about my wants and needs. But do we think about what we will leave behind when we are gone?

Moses a great servant of God was obedient and had a contrite heart .God always had the first priority in his life. He was a great leader. Ensuring that the Israelites knew and learn’t God’s facets by heart. He loved what God loved and hated what God hated. He was a great influence to the Israelites that’s why the Israelites run to him whenever they faced a challenge.

Nearing his death, he reminded the Israelites what was expected of them. He reminded them the Ten Commandments:

ü  You shall have no other God before me.
ü  You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
ü  Observe the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
ü  Honour your father and mother.
ü  You shall not steal.
ü  You shall not murder.
ü  You shall not commit adultery.
ü  You shall not steal.
ü  You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
ü  You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, house or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

He taught them the Lord’s statutes and judgments to keep as they entered the Promised Land. Adjuring the people to make God’s precepts known to their children. He cautioned them about acting corruptly and making sculpted images to worship or worshipping the sun, moon or stars allotted to benefit the peoples under the heaven. He instructed them to obey the statutes, so that it would go well with them and their children and also experience prolonged days in the Promised Land.

This would be wisdom and understanding in the sight of those who heard of them and also distinguish them as a wise nation among others.
Just like Moses did, it is paramount for us as believers to follow suit and build a good legacy that would last generations after us.

CHOOSE LIFE.

Man naturally tends to cling to sin. They have abused the freedom that God the creator has given them. Not considering the repercussions of their actions.

The Lord had set before the Israelites life and good or death and evil. It was upon the Israelites to choose what they desired. When you obey the commandments; to love God with all your heart, to walk in his ways and keep/obey his statutes, you are choosing life and the good of the Lord

Blessings and multiplication were promised to those who chose life. But when our minds and hearts turn away from God’s ordinances, we stop serving him and worship other gods. We are saying that we don’t choose life but we prefer death and evil. Worshipping other gods is what we primarily put before God. Not giving God the first priority in our lives.

The Lord has given human beings the free will to choose between blessings and curses. Neglecting God’s laws is preferring curses than blessings and the Lord declares that these will perish.

On the other hand if we submit to God's statues, obeying his voice and cling to him; he will satisfy us with long life and blessings that will affect our descendants. What is that sin that you have clung so tightly to, when the Lord is calling you to choose life?
